Sounds good. I thought the stock shifter was decent as well. That's the reason it took me so long to install the MGW shifter. I noticed your shifting technique seems to cover basic fundamentals of shifting. I been on this forum for approx 4 years and noticed your deep background and experience with corvettes and C7's.

You may wish to replace the rubber bushings that mount the box, though.The "Flat Stick" has a small collar that locks the ball to the brass thread they epoxy into the ball in whatever direction desired. They supply a special wrench to tighten in the shifter kit. But IMO a large round shape like a 2 1/4 inch diameter cue ball size helps especially with my often used 4th to 7th shift.

My shifter is pretty stiff trying to move to the 1-2 gate or 5-6 gate from the 3-4 line. I just thought I needed to do the anti-venom mod but it looks like I need to get back under there and tuck the boot down lower.
