The performance comes from good quality blanks with sharp tooling, good quality control, so on, so on. The ratchet rifling is marketing. Maybe it makes a difference, but it's not enough of a difference for a mere mortal like myself to notice. Frank already sent me one of their drop-in/Semi custom CZ 455/457 barrels back in the beginning of this year which I tested in a few different CZ455 review threads posted.
