I prefer the groove because it isn't as tight and stiff as the Kore Essential belt. It's starting to give me lower back pain. It's my first gun belt as I'm fairly new to ccw. It works great and is rigid where it needs to be, and came highly recommended here. I like how to tail tucks behind the belt so it doesn't get in the way, and the buckle is very low profile. I carry a PDP compact 4" and it holds and helps conceal it great.
